We are the data user (data controller) for the personal data described in this policy. We comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong and, for contacts in the European Union, with the General Data Protection Regulation.
02Data we collect
- Quotation requests: name, company, business email, phone or WhatsApp number, country and the details of your request.
- Business relationship: contact details of client and supplier staff, company registration documents, contracts, invoices, payment and shipping records.
- Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security.
03Why we use it
- To answer your request and prepare a quotation.
- To perform our contracts: orders, shipping, invoicing.
- To meet legal duties: accounting, tax, customs and compliance checks.
- To secure this website.
We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.
04Who receives it
Your data is used by our team and shared only when needed with: carriers and freight forwarders, inspection agencies, our bank, our accountants, our website host (Vercel Inc.) and our form service (FormSubmit). Suppliers receive only the information needed to produce and ship your order.
05International transfers
Because we trade internationally, your data may be processed in Hong Kong, Mainland China, the European Union and the United States. We limit transfers to what the order requires and use appropriate safeguards.
06Retention
- Requests that do not lead to an order: 24 months after the last contact.
- Client and supplier records: 7 years after the last transaction, as required by Hong Kong tax law.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
07Your rights
You may request access to and correction of your data, and, where the GDPR applies, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. Write to starphonepartshk@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, or your local data protection authority.
08Cookies
This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them. The contact form is sent through FormSubmit only when you press Send.
09Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.
